Chapter 286 Even with good marksmanship, he wouldn't aim for the head.
Han Che and Shi Ding walked out of the office one after the other and headed towards the prison, to Raven's room.
Looking through the small window into Raven's solitary cell, just as Shi Ding had said, there were many messy parts on the table.
Raven lay on the bed, legs crossed, holding something up to the ceiling with his right hand, staring intently at it.
Han Che knocked lightly on the door, then pushed it open and went in. Shi Ding, like an iron tower, followed closely behind Han Che, about half a body length behind him with a serious expression.
Raven gripped what she was holding, flipped herself up from the bed, and sat on the edge of the bed watching Han Che and Shi Ding come in.
"Hey, isn't this our mighty Warden? You've been resurrected? How does it feel?" Raven grinned.
"Not good! I feel terrible pain all over my body!" Han Che said, pulling over a chair and sitting opposite Raven. "Didn't we agree that the competition was to see how well you've practiced your rifle skills? Why are you playing so dirty?" Han Che pretended to be dissatisfied.
"I asked you about the rules of the competition repeatedly beforehand, whether there were any other rules, and whether projectiles were allowed."
"What was your answer back then? You took full responsibility and verbally agreed to everything!"
The raven suddenly realized, "You can't go back on your word like this!"
Han Che was speechless. Sure enough, when someone repeatedly confirms the rules, it means he has probably found a loophole in the rules.
However, Han Che really didn't expect that Raven would actually have a tool that could interfere with him.
Seeing that Han Che remained silent, Raven continued, "Besides, Old Ge! My marksmanship was pretty accurate, wasn't it? I even shattered your level 5 armor. Doesn't that prove my skill?"
"If you're really as good a shot as you brag about, why don't you just shoot me in the head? Every shot I fired was aimed straight for your head!" Han Che retorted.
"No? Dude!" Raven chuckled in exasperation upon hearing this. "You're just talking without any real understanding of the situation!"
"Almost all the bullets I fired at you were pre-planned hits. Do you even understand what pre-planning is?"
"You run faster than a mad dog, rolling around on the ground, and you still expect me to hit your head with every bullet? Are you crazy or am I crazy?" Raven's voice rose several octaves.
"I'm lucky if I can catch you off guard with a pre-firing shot and fire two shots; don't ask for too much!"
Han Che recalled that during the battle with Raven, almost none of the bullets he was shot in were from the front during a gunfight.
All of this was because Raven used cover to precisely seize the tactical openings he made when he holstered his gun and ran, and when he rolled forward.
He played with a very high level of skill, and even Han Che himself couldn't find any fault with it.
The two bullets that hit Raven were entirely within the thick fog; Han Che, relying on his killing intent, forced a counterattack through the smoke.
That was also the only time Han Che dealt an effective and fatal blow to Raven during the entire battle.
In the final moment when both of them pulled out to force a gunfight, Raven not only flashed out at the same time, catching Han Che off guard, but also managed to avoid Han Che's habitual headshot target.
It was precisely because of this extremely subtle tactical retreat that he was not replaced by Han Che at the last moment.
However, although this match was somewhat frustrating, it also gave Han Che some very useful trump cards in his mind.
At least he now understands one thing: while pulse grenades and flashbangs can severely impair his vision and ability to judge movement, they cannot completely block his ability to sense killing intent.
Looking back now, the main reason I was so severely affected back then, besides the flashbangs, was probably related to all the negative status effects I received.
"Hey! What are you thinking about!"
Raven deliberately stretched out his hand and waved it in front of Han Che's eyes in an exaggerated manner, and he impatiently brought his big face closer.
"We had an agreement beforehand! Now that I've already beaten you today, you have to follow our previous agreement and take me with you the next time you go to the player world without hesitation! You can't go back on your word!"
Han Che pulled himself out of his wandering thoughts, stared at Raven's eyes with a straight face. Raven was now just like usual, carefree and grinning.
Han Che sighed softly, "Alright, you pass..."
Before Han Che could finish speaking, the words "Passed" were uttered, and Raven jumped up excitedly.
"Yay! Hahahaha! Old Ge, I knew you were the most trustworthy!" he said, stretching out his arms and about to pounce.
Han Che reached out and shoved his forehead. "Get out of here! Stay away from me!"
With a burst of force, it pushed the raven back two steps.
"You're going on this player world trip, but let me make this clear before we set off: here are a few rules for you!" Han Che said seriously.
"Whether you're in the player world or on other maps, you must strictly adhere to this rule without question! If you dare to slip up even the slightest time, I won't let you off the hook!"
Raven steadied himself, rubbed his forehead which was red from Han Che's push, rolled his eyes, and said, "Fine, fine, you're the boss, whatever you say goes."
Han Che held up one finger and said expressionlessly.
"First, once we're in the player world, no matter what kind of firefight it is, you absolutely must use a regular assault rifle!"
"Hide those two large-caliber dual revolvers you always like to show off well, and absolutely do not take them out in public!"
Raven shrugged and replied, "Okay, it's just a rifle. We'll use it, whatever you say."
"Second, you're not allowed to use your whistling ability; it's too iconic."
"Thirdly, you are not allowed to use any of your strange gadgets without my permission, especially your hallucinogenic smoke and that EMP!"
Raven widened its eyes and complained, "No, I can accept everything before. But these little hand-made toys are ones I made myself out of scrap metal. Why can't I even use these? This is really hindering my creativity!"
"That EMP was invented by the owner of my current club. If she sees it, she'll be exposed on the spot!"
Raven picked at its ear with its little finger. "Alright, alright, after all that talk, you just told me not to use anything that might reveal my identity."
Han Che nodded. "Let's talk about the rest outside. You've never been to the player world, so there are some things you wouldn't know even if I told you."
"Very well, my Lord Warden!" Raven replied dismissively.
